Dr. Lisa Birchko

Dr Brichko is an Emergency Physician with extensive experience working across Victorian public and private emergency departments. She graduated from Monash University in 2011 going on to undertake the majority of her Emergency Medicine Fellowship Training through Alfred Health and completing her Emergency Medicine Fellowship in 2018.
Her interests include exploring strategies that improve patient experience as well as promoting safe and efficiency patient care. This passion for improving the quality of care that we can provide our emergency department patients has previously been developed through undertaking a Master’s degree in Health Management, attaining Associate Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators as well as leading a variety of medical research projects.
She has also worked alongside the Emergency Department leadership team at Cabrini Hospital as their Quality Improvement Manager which involved implementing an array of evidence-based initiatives to ensure efficient patient care and optimise patient experiences. She has been engaged in supporting the Alfred Virtual Emergency Department since it’s inception and contributed to a diverse assortment of projects pertaining to emergency medicine telehealth delivery.
